Paragon 29er Lanes Ride – 21st March

Riding with a large backpack on takes a bit of getting used to.

After a good clean, lube and check over I thought it was best to take the Fisher out for a quick spin round the lanes to make sure everything is OK ready for Ivan’s Welsh Extravaganza this coming weekend.

A few minor tweaks while out on the ride and it seems fine. After the muck that came out of the rear brake after Saturday’s Peaks ride I’m tempted to fire some new fluid into the system. The brake is working OK, but I’ll do it tomorrow, just to be on the safe side. I’d rather muck about with DOT5 for 1/2 hour than be riding around the Cambrian Mountains with a rapidly dying front brake!

The route was just the usual lanes blast round the north of Coventry, blue skys, sunshine, about 12 degC……

On the Carver rear mech problems I put some wet lube on the pivot points and worked it in. I’ll see how it rides tomorrow (I’ve emailed CRCs warranty department anyway)

Ride – #48     Bike – Gary Fisher Paragon 29’er

Miles – 18.6     Total 2012 miles – 1042.3
