Hardly a Tough Decision – 25th July
With the Wednesday GT ride advertised as the ‘Uni Loop’ with an ‘add on’ it wasn’t a tough descision to make when Rob suggested riding somewhere else. Just about every time I’ve ridden on a wednesday night with the club we do the ‘Uni Loop’ in some form…. Zzzzzzzz Boring! And suggest leading or different route and that gets frowned upon!
So the tough decision was were to go. I suggested Long Mynd at first but Rob (Who I don’t think has ridden there) said he’d want a full day over there. Fair Enough. So the good old fall back was Cannock, the off piste stuff, and the excellent Midlands XC Course.
We headed out from Marquis Drive and rode a whole load of new stuff, some good, some just OK. We then headed to Stepping Stones and rode some of the old trusty trails over there.
As the sun dipped in the sky several of Bambi’s mates made an brief appearance.
Finishing off on the Midlands XC course, we hit the reopened final drop to Birches Valley, then found some new looking XC course…
All that and home and showered for 10pm… result!
Oh, and there’s no Strava stuff as I left my phone at work. At least I hope that’s where it is!
