Corley Moor Loop – 26th July

Farmer Parmer transports his precious cargo of the very rare ‘square’ liquorice to market

I had a spare hour so having fitted a “Charge Spoon” saddle (the sort I have on most of my bikes) and a shorter and shallower angled steering stem I thought I take the bike out for test ride. Both changes worked really well, so now it’s just bar angle and brake position I’ve got to work on.

It was a head down blast and pretty enjoyable (for a road ride!)

My ribs feel a lot better after rides on the road bike. I guess it’s because on a road bike you’re pretty static on the bike. Unlike on a mountain bike where body movement is critical for balance.

Ride – #122     Bike – Raleigh Airlite 100
